Foshan ShuangMuSanLin Technology Co., Ltd. is founded in Shenzhen, China. From day one, the team bypasses standard, outsourced boards to focus strictly on proprietary circuit layouts, mastering the fundamentals of analog signal routing and low-noise layouts.
SMSL begins its long-standing collaboration with ESS Technology, integrating premium Sabre DAC chips. In 2015, we launch the iconic "Panda Set" (including the M8 and VA2), establishing the highly popular "Desktop Stack" paradigm that would define modern compact hi-fi systems globally.
To absorb European amplification expertise, SMSL partners with Denmark's legendary ICEpower to co-develop high-power Class D amplifiers. Concurrently, SMSL establishes an overseas sales network, exporting highly resolving DACs to over 30 countries.
In 2018, VMV Technology (HK)—registered in 2013—unleashes its flagship VMV D1 DAC, asserting our presence in the ultra-high-end tier. In 2019, SMSL launches the legendary M500 MQA DAC, which becomes a permanent fixture on ASR recommendations for its incredible dynamic performance and value.
Faced with massive global demand, SMSL moves to a new, state-of-the-art office facility and integrates a massive **3,000 square meter (3000m²)** custom machinery and assembly shop, bringing metal CNC milling and SMD line assembly entirely in-house.
SMSL introduces a cohesive, highly refined industrial design language across all products. Moving beyond DACs, we step into high-end standalone formats: the G1 master clock generator, the PL200T CD transport with P.A.S.S. servo system, and the VMV P2 MK2 GaN-powered headphone amplifier.
